Hello, my name is Vlad, I am a Jungian psychoanalyst and a psychoanalytical psychotherapist. I live and work in London. Sometimes I work online. I trained as a child psychotherapist and worked extensively with children. I also completed a training in adult analysis and now run a practice for adults.
People happen to come to me even when they can’t explain why they came. Quite often, they bring multiple symptoms and a wide range of difficulties. Almost everyone has issues mastering important life tasks. At times, there might be a variety of physical symptoms. Sometimes, a person experiences quite complex conditions, such as psychic breakdowns.
I see my patients one to five times a week. I indicate this frequency to let you know the potential roominess of the analysis. The frequency is adjusted individually, usually gradually, and can change during therapy depending on needs and the current situation.
I sometimes offer my patients to use a couch. It changes the analysis a lot, and besides, it's just more comfortable. Analysis rarely fits in two or three years and often lasts longer, so in this journey, like on a long-distance train, it’s best to get comfortable.
I charge for missed and cancelled sessions, even if you notify me in advance. I do not charge for meetings that didn’t happen due to my initiative. I charge different amounts for different people, depending on their financial situation and my availability. If necessary and possible, when you want or need to visit me more than twice a week, I may reduce your standard fee.
I always emphasize the importance of a gradual ending. However, you retain the right to end your analysis at any time.
If you need to meet me before deciding to work together, we can arrange an initial session or a set of two. The initial session lasts and costs the same as a standard one. The only difference between these two is that after the initial one, I will only expect to see you again if you decide to continue.
